Academic cooperation between Romania and Moldova. Enhancing the European Union Association Agreement

Resilient Union (EURES)’ Project no. 621262-EPP-1-2020-1-RO-EPPJMO-MODULE
Rationale
Given the current circumstances, which generate widespread instability, the event aims to strengthen the academic
partnerships between Romania and the Republic of Moldova, in order to stimulate cross-border cooperation.
In brief, the purpose of this workshop is, on the one hand, to develop a synergy between different educational
institutions and, on the other hand, to create an appropriate framework for the submission of joint projects, funded by
the European Union, to reduce border effects.
The participants in this event will deepen and disseminate knowledge about the role of the European Union as a global
player and will bring to the fore issues related to European values, the integration process and its implications, funding
opportunities to support human capital, programs and policies in the educational field, etc.
The topics proposed for debate are the following:
•
Moldova Association Agreement with the European Union: realities and perspectives
•
The role of human capital in strengthening the resilience capacity
•
Education and skills development
•
Challenges in education and research during the COVID-19 pandemic
•
The relevance of institutions in economic development
•
European integration process and its implications on economic and social cohesion
•
The Eastern Partnership: what lessons have emerged in recent years?
•
Policies to strengthen resilience (education policies, research and development policies, health policies, etc.)
•
Financial instruments to support cooperation (Erasmus+, Jean Monnet, Joint Operational Programs, etc.)
•
Development partnerships between Romania and the Republic of Moldova
•
Other topics (depending on the scientific interest of the participants)
Deadlines:
•
10 May Online registration and submission of abstracts: Abstracts should have roughly 300-500 words and
clearly state the research goal(s), research question(s) and the methodological approach. Please fill out the
following registration form, indicating that you will participate in this EURES workshop
•
Notification of acceptance or rejection (or within 5 days from submission)
•
June 30 – full paper submission (

Presentation: The papers can also be presented in Romanian
Publication: The papers presented in this woorkshop will be included in a book/ monography with ISBN that will be
published at the “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University of Iasi Publishing House.

AUTHOR GUIDELINES: The authors are kindly invited to prepare the paper in accordance with the following instructions:
•Language:papers should be written in English (British), should be clear, and grammatically correct;
•Article words limit: between 6500 and 8000 words long; this limit includes tables; references; figure captions;
footnotes; endnotes;
•Page format: 17cm x 24cm; Font format: Times New Roman, 1.0 lines spacing, indent paragraph: 1 cm, 'normal' style;
Footnotes: footnotes (not endnotes) should be used only for relevant info & clarifications.
